PROFILE: Since early 1990s, Zaiami Bodrudduza has been working in diverse sectors as employee, freelancer, entrepreneur of RMG buying and trading organic food and volunteer. Through his long exposures in different developed and developing parts of the world his perspective towards the development sector of his native country settled in a wakeful degree and finally helped him to ensconce his career in the development sector. In the development sector, he has been working in the area of Social & Economic Development, Skill Development, HIV/AIDS and Injecting Drug Users (IDU) harm reduction projects, social mobilization, Street Children Projects for partner organizations of different international development agencies- USAIDS, FHI, UNODC, Save the Children (Sweden-Denmark), Caritas Bangladesh, Wal-Mart Foundation and Care Bangladesh.
Key competencies: Design development project concepts and proposals, Project implementation and progress/annual reports (donor specific or open-ended shadow report) , Development project coordination, Prepare study reports, Organizational Development, Participatory competencies related to Street Children and Marginalized urban community ( RMG workers, Street based Drug users, and Sex workers), Participatory Project Planning & Development, Lobbying & Advocacy with Government and Donors on relevant issues, Seminar/conference/workshop rapporteur, Translation from English to Bangla and vice versa.
Current responsibilities: (As a business development Manager at SPL) Develop training module for RMG workers focusing their work related skill, Facilitate and conduct ToTs on the Module, Design and organize training sessions covering 500 RMG workers (Ex WHEEL Project beneficiaries, of Wal-Mart, USA and Care Bangladesh), Implement project including staffing and organize logistics, Develop I.E.C materials (Posters, etc.) for Training, Keep liaison with the Donor, Prepare midterm report and final report, Submit financial report and bill, Coordination and monitoring of overall project activities, Develop Monitoring Tools, Submission of EoIs relevant to skill development, economic empowerment and evaluation of projects, Assistance in development of ToRs for relevant Projects, Assistance in development of Full-fledged Project Proposal, Attend various meeting related to new project development
